Toronto Music City’s mission is the development of healthy music ecosystems and sustainable creative communities centered on the health, careers and wellbeing of musicians. We accomplish this mission through three mandates:
Building affordable housing and music hubs in the GTA.
Facilitating and leading music education and community programming through a S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) lens.
Delivering health and wellness services to musicians and our members; namely dental, mental health and paramedical services.
Our first proposed project is a 100-unit affordable housing co-op + music hub in Regent Park, located at the south east corner of Dundas St E and Sumach St. A safe space where musicians can learn, live, work and play.
Toronto musicians share their thoughts on living, creating, and working to afford life in Toronto.
